November 27, 2018, Ajax Ontario. – The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) held its Annual General Meeting, Awards Lunch and AGM Conference on November 27th at the Ajax Convention Centre in Ajax Ontario. The AGM Conference on "Nuclear Innovation and Medical Isotopes Saving Lives" discussed new technologies for producing a variety of medical isotopes in power reactors as well as in cyclotron facilities in Canada.

September 19, 2018, Pickering, Ontario. – The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) congratulates the OPG Darlington Refurbishment team on successfully passing the half-way mark on the Unit 2 Darlington Refurbishment Project, with 65 per cent of the work completed and safely executed.

May 17, 2018 Pickering, Ontario. – The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) is pleased to announce the creation of the Martyn Wash Memorial Scholarships for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year nuclear engineering students at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). The Scholarships will be awarded annually beginning in the 2018/19 academic year to two students in the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science (FESNS) based on their academic performance.

OCNI awarded a Grant of nearly $495,000 to support innovative skills training project
April 18 2018, Pickering, Ontario. – The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) is proud to announce that it has received a $494,872 grant over one year from the Ontario Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development’s (MAESD) “Skills Catalyst Fund” to undertake a talent development program that will promote education and training in skilled trades to underrepresented groups including youth, women, and indigenous peoples. The OCNI-led project will provide career opportunities for under-represented groups while enhancing the pipeline of skilled trades people required to refurbish and replace major components at 10 nuclear generating units at the Darlington and Bruce sites.
