University of Toronto- Institute for Multidisciplinary Design and Innovation (UT-IMDI)

The University of Toronto Institute for Multi-Disciplinary Design & Innovation (UT-IMDI) aims to create a unique Project Based Learning (PBL) in partnership with industry. It will give students the opportunity to work on industry design and development projects far beyond the experience they currently gain through the curriculum.  UT-IMDI provides students with real life training by involving them in practical, industry based projects.  It promotes awareness of the design and development challenges facing industry through its emphasis on multidisciplinary and evolving technology.  The Institute calls for working relationship between the University and industry partners from various sectors to collaborate on projects based on real industry design and development needs.
