ASW Steel Inc.

ASW Steel Inc. is the successor company to Atlas Steels in Welland, Ontario. Atlas Started operations in 1917 as a specialty steel producer and grew to be the largest specialty steel producer in the British Commonwealth by 1952. Over its history, Atlas was not only at the center of many technological advancements through the war years and industrial revolution but it was also prominent among suppliers of specialty steel to the first Candu nuclear programs. In 2016 ASW recognized the opportunity to participate in new refurbishment projects so we shifted our focus back to some of our more technical applications. The nuclear industry is a perfect fit for the facilities that ASW (Atlas) houses and the skills we possess. We have prepared the company to once again be a provider to this critical industry with a plan to produce high quality stainless steels for use in the production of nuclear end fittings. Our Quality Accreditations include: ISO9001 : 2008, PED 97/23/EC, ISO17025 : 2005 and we comply with NCA 3800.
