The Ministry of International Trade (MIT) is organizing an Ontario Pavilion at POWER-GEN 2017 trade show, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 5-7, 2017.

As the world's largest power generation event, POWER-GEN International is the industry leader in providing comprehensive coverage of the trends, technologies and issues facing the generation sector. More than 1,200 companies from all sectors of the industry exhibit each year to benefit from the exposure to more than 18,000 attendees from 100+ counties. Displaying a wide variety of products and services, POWER-GEN International represents a horizontal look at the industry with key emphasis on new solutions and innovations for the future, including technologies and services for:

  • Gas Turbines
  • On-Site Power
  • Gas-Fired Power Plants
  • Energy Storage
  • Emissions Control
  • Power Project Financing

ONTARIO PAVILION
The Ontario Pavilion will be located in Booth 5137 of the Las Vegas Convention Center and measures 20 X 20 square feet. It will accommodate:

Eight kiosks, which will be facing an aisle and will include carpet and underlay, a 36” storage cabinet with counter; a back panel with the option of either adding graphics or a flat screen Smart TV (additional cost of $600 applies for the TV); electrical outlet; company name or logo; and one stool. The kiosks are approximately 10’ tall.

Nuclear units weather Hurricane Irma

Two nuclear units at St Lucie were able to continue operating as Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida. One unit at Turkey Point was shut down as a precaution in advance of the storm as nuclear operators and regulators put storm preparation procedures into action, while the other shut down automatically because of a valve-related issue.
